Teaching

We pride ourselves in being an excellent training practice for GP trainees and Foundation doctors. We usually have at least one fully qualified hospital doctor working with us to gain experience in General Practice. They work as a full member of the team providing surgery sessions and on-call services, but are under the supervision of one of our GP trainers ( Dr Roger Hartstone or Dr Natasha Price).

The GP trainees may sometimes ask your permission to video the consultation. This is for training purposes only to help them refine their clinical skills.  Your written consent will be asked before hand.

The practice is assessed at regular intervals to make sure that it meets the required standards to be a teaching practice. During theses assessments doctors from outside the practice may view a video of a consultation or your medical records. You can indicate if you do not want your records to be viewed.
