Who are the PPG
We are a team of patients and Practice staff who are committed to working together to improve services for the patients and staff in our surgery. Our aim is to provide a service of excellence to all our patients widening communication channels, reaching out to patient groups and encouraging health education. Our PPG has a number of enthusiastic and diverse members, some have been members since the PPG was first set up in 2005 and others who have only just joined. We meet at least every other month, usually during the day. We are members of the National Association of Patient Participation Groups (N.A.P.P.).
Whilst the PPG is set up to represent all registered patients in the Practice and we would love to hear from you, we are not able to deal with personal complaints or individual health matters as the Practice has its own complaints procedure.
We run a series of evening Health Talks every year on a range of topics such as Heart Disease, Breast or Bowel Cancer in conjunction with the Kings Corner PPG. These are free to attend and available to all patients. We also have regular surveys to find out patient’s views.
What can I do?
We actively encourage new members, if you would like to join the forum please contact us (see below).

2019 Patient Survey
The results from this year's patients survey are in!
Overall 82% of the patients rated the service they received as good or excellent with the staff (GPs, nurses and receptionists) rated as the best things about MH. The results indicate that some patients need help understanding how to access and use the online booking system and registering for text reminders, as well as the extended hours service. The PPG will look into publicising these services again on the board and screen in the waiting room. Patients were concerned about how long they had to book in advance to see a particular GP, GP continuity and the parking at MH and this will be reviewed by the Practice for improvements where possible.
