Using Online Services

How to enrol and get online access to book GP appointments and order repeat prescriptions on-line

Step One - Bring along photographic identification to Magnolia House - passport or driving licence.

Step Two - Request online access from one of our reception staff who will also be able to answer any questions you may have.
You may have to wait a few minutes whilst your account is activated and you will then be issued with your own individual PIN numbers. on a printed out form which you can then take away with you - please keep these details safe and destroy them once you have created your online account (see Step 3 below).

Step Three - Back at home and at a time convenient to you, log on to the internet, visit this secure site to create an EMIS ACCESS account using the details provided to you by the reception staff. During this process you will be asked to create your own memorable password. Please remember it and don't disclose this password unless it is to someone who may be caring for you and who you trust.

Step Four -  Once your online account has been created, you can log on to EMIS ACCESS to order repeat prescriptions and also view and book GP appointments that are available. You may also log on to EMIS ACCESS to check the status of repeat prescription requests and also remind yourself when your appointments are booked.

Using EMIS ACCESS to review and cancel appointments

All your appointments whether; booked face to face with reception staff, over the phone or via the internet will be listed when you review your online account. In the event that you need to cancel an appointment, any of these appointments may be cancelled via the internet, day or night.

What happens if I forget my password or other credentials?

Don’t worry if you forget your password. You have 3 attempts to remember and then the system locks you out for a short period - if you try again and still can't access the system, please contact Magnolia House surgery and speak to reception who will be able to advise you. You may be asked to attend the Practice to reset your passport to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.

Is the online service available 24 hours a day?

There may be times when the service is unavailable (typically for a few hours in the early hours of the morning) whilst the Practice computer is being updated. If you encounter the system when it is unavailable, please login at a later time.

We are keen to hear any further ideas you have
